DAVE DARQUE started off playing drums in a local band called FATAH MORGANA in the mid-seventies. The band played the support act for SEX PISTOLS in "Studentersamfundet," Trondheim, back in 1977. Even though Fatah Morgana was a heavy band, it felt right for Dave Darque in 1980 to move on to a symphonic rock band called GREAT EXHIBITION. After three years with Great Ex. as singer/keyboard player, it was time to go on alone. Going solo in 1984, DAVE DARQUE released the single "Blow Wind Blow/Crazy Colours." It was released on Polygram's label MERCURY, and musicians from STAGE DOLLS and DAVE DARQUE BAND contributed on this record. The following years Dave worked with D.D. BAND and a band called ZIN ZAN. For a period of time, music had to take the back seat, but Dave Darque is back as a singer/composer. |
